December 22 What a busy time of yearHI everyone.
Well, It's here. But where is the festive fizz gone? Its so depressing everywhere. Even retail therapy isn't working because nearly all the shops to visit are closing down or in trouble and all the staff have faces as long as a wet weekend on them...
Work is also just as depressing. No one has any Ooomph in them. We had a lovely girly night in on friday though over at Racheals house and it was brilliant fun. I took Erica my youngest daughter and she didn't stop laughing the whole time. We tucked into a scrumptious chinese and plenty of wine flowed but unfortunately not my way as I was driving!! (boohoo!!) lol.
We had our Nutricia christmas party too a few weeks ago which was held at the lovely assembly rooms in Bath. It was a lovely grand affair and I took my eldest daughter as my poor hubby had to work and didn't have any holiday left. Still, I was pleased with my dress but compared to Kaylea I should of worn a blimmin paper bag over my head.
I also took part in the Yuletide winter solstice on Saturday with my lovely pagan friends down in Salisbury. It really was a magical evening and I felt very festive after as it felt so special to of taken part in the ritual and I really did feel connected with my ancestors and your spirits feel so lifted after just a couple of hours at the sacred site where the moot is held. The best part was the fact that the weather was quite warm and I was able to wear the dress I wanted too. lol
Also I had a very busy lead up to the weekend. I took 2 days holiday but it was anything but restfull. I managed to go to trowbridge, chippenham and swindon. Cleared the front and back garden and took 3 car loads of crap up to the recycling centre. I also went to a house party and yuletide celebration as previously mentioned. I did the shopping, tidied my room (no mean feat!!) and wrapped pressies. Also went riding and up to mums as usual. Im not surprised that I conked out on the sofa last night.
Anyway. I still have pressies to wrap.. Grrrrrrrrrrrrr... and things to finish off. Aaaaargh. Why do we do this every year?? Too much stress. And no festive spirit to be found anywhere.
I keep saying Bah humbug hoping that the ghosts from a Christmas Carol will come visit but then again I would only film them and put themon the website.. hahahahaha... and then I would get done for exploitation.. ????
Anyway. Heres wishing everyone a blessed yule and a merry Christmas. Have a good one.
December 09 Been a whileHi all!!!
Its been a while since I was last on here and what on earth has been going on??? Why change the site when it was perfectly ok as it was before. Now it is even slower than it was and nothing seems to be working?
WHERE HAS MY INBOX GONE???
I just don't have the time or the patience to work it all out!!
Right, rant over.
I have had a funny old month or two. I have not enjoyed the best of health and it seems to be one thing after another. Nothing really seems to be running very smoothly. I plod on though. The last few weeks though have been very tough.
My poor little 3 year old was so poorly last week he missed his first nativity. I was so upset. My mum and I had put his outfit together too. He was to be a sheep.. Funny thing was when I found out he had a part a week before and was asked what he was I jokingly said "A sheep!!" I couldn't believe it when it turned out he actually was!!! hahahahaha.. Nasty mummy hexed her own son by accident. He has just got his apetite back but still has no colour and a nasty little cough. To cheer him up we took him to whitehall garden centre to see Santa. He loved it.
The paranormal team is still ticking over nicely. We did a lovely location on Sunday just gone. We went to a place where we wanted to go in the summer but with the nasty weather it was postponed. Even though we had freezing fog etc... It was actually a very good night. The team wil have a break for Christmas now and resume in the new year.
I am very much looking forward to the next few weekends. This weekend is the Nutricia Christmas party and next week I have a girly night in scheduled with my mates from work on Friday and on the Saturday I have a Yule celebration to attend. I am so looking forward to that. Then of course its CHRISTMAS...... Im no where near ready but at least I have the kids main pressies...
I always enjoy the Sunday horse rides this time of year too. There is something very seasonal about horse riding.. maybe its something to do with the traditional hunts on boxing day?? I always look forward to Sundays though. Its the only time I am totally at peace when I am cantering through the fields.
On a final note though, we have finally got the christmas decorations started. I let James help me with the tree which is very unlike me. I can be a bit anal about how the tree looks but he didn't do to badly at all. I did re-arrange a few things though once he went to bed. I couldnt help myself.
October 14 Faerie space
Trees so green and earth so brown faerie folk make not a sound dancing, skipping watch them leap to the waters edge they creep
swirling, swirling, river flow undines swimming, watch them go chuckling, chattering, babbling brook under water come and look.
from the depths of deep ravines from the sides of tiny streams Every where you care to go Faerie folk are there you know.
moonlit landscapes magical plane elementals once again come out from their hiding place casting off their daytime face
Once upon a time ago little folk were feared so mortal kind left well alone little people to their own
sunny glades and woodland fen homes to all the little men sandy cliffs or wishing well cheeky piskies care to dwell
Underneath the fire grate household brownies gravitate way above the houses high faerie sylths will swoop and fly
In this modern clean cut time Faerie folk are left behind more and more of sacred land is ripped by the business man
Next time when you venture out keep your eyes and wits about Listen with your beating heart look at nature and her art.
Marvel at the colours hue rolling hills and morning dew Open up to sacred space and re-discover faerie place.

Past few weeksHi all. Well, the past few weekends have been very busy ones.. I have been involved in 2 very interesting outdoor locations. One was at the Mizmaze at Breamore and the other was a few historical sights around where I live. On the second one we put this together for the older children of the paranormal teams.
The Mizmaze was one of the most enjoyable investigations I have done in a long time. I got an actual audiable link and this hardly ever happens to me ever. This night though it was so loud I was surprised that no one else could hear it at first. It started off as a female voice and then change to a collective group of voices like a childrens playground at lunchtime. All very eeire but amazing to witness. I have a full report of the investigation on my phoenix website.
last night we took the kids to Kennet longbarrow, Roundway woods and bloody ditch, atworth church and melksham churchyard. The most enjoyable places were, The long barrow and melksham church. Atworth freaked the kids out too much and the woods were quiet. I will be putting a full report on the website later on.
myself and a colleague in the team have combined our heads and put a poem together of the evening. I will post it after this blog.
I got some amazing pictures though. The whole landscape was breathtaking as last night was a bright moonlit night with mist hovering in the valleys. That alone is a privilage to see.

September 25 Lazy me!!Hi all.
Wow its been a busy few weeks at work. Fuck all staff but those phones keep ringing. I have been meaning to add a new blog for ages but am just so tired by the time I have done the mundane things like housework, shopping etc, etc I just haven't taken the time. (Thank you Androgoth for the gentle hint!! lol)
We have finally got back after a break through our rather soggy summer to investigating supposedly haunted locations. Friday just gone I found myself at one of the oldest pubs in england called The George in Norton St Phillip. It is a beautifully atmospheric place with a lot of very interesting history. My good friends Wessex Paranormal requested I joined them and who am I to refuse? It was a brilliant evening and the full write up can be found on my website you can access through a link in the customs box down the page a bit. We have another investigation scheduled for next week so fingers crossed the weather holds and also we have some very exclusive locations lined up. I can hardley contain myself with excitement. The main one I am looking forward to is st briavels castle on All saints day or 1st Nov. This will involve staying over all night.. I cannot wait.. I have also been invited to go to a Samhain ritual celebration with a very good friend of mine who runs Twilight shadows paranormal of Salisbury and I am almost wishing the time away for that one.
Sunday I decided to take James for a walk along the river in Bradford on Avon.. (A lovely town I grew up in just 5 miles away) and we had a magical time. That really is the only description for it. James made friends with this big black dog and I took some pictures of some magnificent spiderswebs covered in dew. In the afternoon luckily the weather held and I had a fantastic ride on Hettie as always.
This Saturday I have escaped and will be hitting the city of Bath for a very alcohol soaked night of dancing and causing trouble no doubt.. ha,ha,ha. Must be on my best behaviour though as my eldest daughter is coming too. It is the Frys posse' going and it is going to be a lot of us. Watch out Bath, thats all I can say. Still, what to wear? hmmmmmmmm.. dunno.
James is getting on really well with preschool. He made some cakes today but they had been eaten before I got home!!! Cheek!! ha,ha,ha. He is also fully house trained now which is a great relief. I really did think he would be in bloody nappies still at 18.
Here is some pics of the the investigation and our walk
September 04 Land mark weekSometimes you get weeks that drift past with no real definition and then you get weeks that will stay with you for the rest of you life. This week is one such week.
This won't mean much to you but to me this week has been one packed with emotions.. Ones that have even kept me awake at night at times.
For the first of events. My 17 year old daughters first day at college. Ok, it wasn't really her first day as she had an induction day the friday just gone but it was still the start of a new chapter of her life. I was so apprehensive for her. She really didn't like 6th form and I could tell it was not what she wanted from the moment she stepped through the door on her first day. So you can imagine how worried I was that the course she had set her heart on was going to be the same this year. luckily she was really bubbly and full of it when she came in.. She was so happy.. I said "well, how was it then?" and she said "oh wow mum.. its awesome. The place is full of hotties"!!!! So forget the eductation then.. as long as there's eye candy everywhere thats ok then.. lmao
The second and this is the one that has me awake at night is today was James' first day at preschool. I have been so worried about this day. Firstly James has only been "domesticated" so to speak for 2 and a half weeks. So I was worried he would have an accident while there. But even though he has only been toilet trained for a short time he has taken to it really well. Already I can take him out and I can trust him. Still I was relieved that he didn't have an accident and was happy to use their loo's.. He can be very funny about things like that. Secondly really enjoyed it and intereacted well. I was a wreck at work. I could not get the day off so I a had to try an work with James at the fore front of my mind. That was not easy. Once my husband text me to tell me how he got on I was ok though.. So now I have got over today and survived, I may actually get to sleep tonight.. lol
Here is a picture of James on his first day at preschool
August 24 My Brothers wedding day!Yesterday saw my brother and my best mate get hitched and what a day it was.
It was lovely to see my 3 kids looking so smart. Even James was wearing a suit which made him feel like Dr Who. It was lovely to see my dads side of the family there at the wedding and Steves mates whcih I havent seen in ages. Years in fact.
I can't believe that with all of the preperation etc that went into the day and the lead up etc just how quickly the day flew by.
The evening do was brilliant fun also. You can see the events of the day in my new album
So, Steve and Kirsty. Congratulations on you Marriage yesterday. I hope you two have many happy years together.!!! August 18 What ever nextIt never amazes me the way a marketeer thinks. I work along side a bloody department full of them!! The baby careline that I work on as an advisor is a marketing tool as such so I have no choice but to have to talk to these sorts of people from time to time. They have amazing insight at times but fail to grasp the fucking obvious...
This is one such idea.
So here we have a product you apply to your inner thighs to prevent them from rubbing together and chaffing!! Good idea you may think but stop and think for a minute. How can society have got so bad that you will see people buying this to rub on their over weight legs to stop themselves from getting friction burns to their inner thigh because they have got so fat their legs rub together. Don't you think that really the same people that rush out to buy this product should ask themselves what lifestyle choices they should change to prevent this from happening in the first place? It is so sad that each generation seem to becoming less and less edcuated and active and the only exercise they seem to get is either walking to the phone to order their take away or even go to the door to accept its delivery. Or for some the only exercise they get is their fingers on a joy pad as they watch their chosen video game character do all the hard work on the tv screen!! We have got so brain washed into commercialism that no one even stops to question in their own minds the complete obserdity of this new product and shame on the fat cats who have created this product for the same miserable people so they can continue to kid themselves and bumble along in their lives in sheer slob bliss until the next problem may occur such as ulcers or DVT!!! Britain.. FFS Get a grip!!! ....... August 16 Just a little one but.................I am so chuffed. My toddler James is a very, very strong willed little boy. I love him to bits but if he doesn't want to do something you don't stand a chance in hell of persuading him otherwise unless you take a step back, leave it five minutes and approach the subject with a different stratedgy. (Just like his bloody father)
So Potty training has been a bloody nightmare.... We have made a few attempts. We have had nappy off time, potty time, just cold turkey etc and each time it has been met with crossed arms and a stampted foot on the ground. GRrrrrrr
I left it for a while until he was 3!! and as I had a week off this week thought it would be a good time to do a bit of reasoning and try and make him see that nappies are for babies and the toilet is what grown ups use.
Well, Monday went well ish. He was a bit resistent but liked the idea of pants. We had a few hits and a few misses. Tuesday I went to Swindon with my mum so James wore a nappy that day. Wednesday we didn't have a wee on the loo but he didnt have as many accidents as Monday so that was a good start.. showed he was getting a bit of bladder control going. Thursday also. Friday I had to go food shopping so he wore a nappy then and today we are doing the pants.
Well, I am so chuffed. He actually kept saying he needed to go to the loo. (or toilet) and the first few times he didnt do anything but on the 3rd time he actually had a proper wee. I was so chuffed I could of flung the window open and shouted to the nearest passer by!! I think we maybe getting there...
And he just had a poo!! on the toilet!!! by jove I think we have cracked it!!!! August 14 what a filmMAMMA MIA ROCKS!! I took my youngest daughter to see that today and I enjoyed it so much I have decided to take my mum to see it. Though she doesn't know it yet!!! If you haven't seen this film then do... Its fabAugust 12 What a dayHi all.
Today I offered (why I don't know) to take my mum to Swindon (she is having awful trouble getting an outfit for my brothers wedding in a matter of weeks) I'm not keen on the journey but im not distance shy so off we went.
To start with I felt like I was coming down with an inner ear infection. My right ear felt like it had cotton wool in it and sound was a bit distorted but I could just about cope. I also had my 3 year old and my 12 year old with me (give me strength!! lol) They were ok actually. I did quite well considering. I got a brilliant fascinator (all the rage at the mo) which matches my dress perfectly. I also managed to get Kays a hat in exactly the same colours as her dress. Erica got a lovely pair of shoes.. James saw an underground ernie pj set and when I asked him if he wanted it he said "no, I want spider man!!" (typical) so I managed to find a spiderman Pj set. God it felt like we were there for an eternity. We finally left about 2 ish.
The journey home was horrendous. Torrential rain.. so bad I couldn't even see the bloody road.. and thunder and lightning. I managed to get mum home (where we stopped for a much needed coffee) and finally got home about half 4.. Where I promptly fell asleep.. When I woke up funnily enough the funny fuzzy feeling in my ear and slight disorientation had vanished.
Its a shame that the route into Swindon is such a pain in the arse because I do actually enjoy shopping there. Still despite not feeling too great I still got what I wanted. Even better was when I got home the Atari tshirt I have been waiting for had arrived. It goes perfectly with the new combats I had got in Primark today and they were reduced to only £3 so I was well chuffed.
glitter-graphics.com ![]() glitter-graphics.com August 09 im back!!Hi all!!
Well, I'm home after a rather soggy but very humid week away. We went to Burnham on Sea for a week and though it wasnt the best weather we still had a rather decent time away.
James make loads of new friends and managed to get quite a gang together by the end of the holiday. Kaylea and Erica made a few mates but mostly hung out with me. Barry went fishing a few days and I took James and Erica to see Wall-e!! Not bad but definetely a kids film. We were going to travel a bit but we decided to stay put as the parking was attrocious there. Still, seeing I cooked most of the time and we took plenty of money with us I am quite surprised to see that we only just made budget at the end of the week. Things are just so much more expensive at the moment.
Still its nice to be back. Barry has gone on a stag day (paintball then piss up) and I am supposed to go on an investigation later but if this weather continues then I think I am going to duck out. Its a bit wet and I am bloody knackered.
Thank you to everyone who has vistited in the last week. I will get around to come say hi later on.
July 29 Someone Shoot me!! pleaseHi all.
Sorry I haven't been around to say hi as usual. My weekend ended up being spent curled up in bed and running to the bathroom on account of having caught James' tummy bug and boy!! Its a nasty one.
Friday, I was in good spirits. Actually I was in very good spirits. I had a lot of fun at work despite the atmosphere at the moment and in the evening we had an investigation planned that I was really looking forward too. The investigation took us to Wilton and we did 2 locations. One was the old butlers house who was head butler of Wilton house and the other was the very spooky Grovely woods.
A full right up on the day can be found on the phoenix website.
We didn't actually get home until gone 4 in the morning. I haven't done that in a while. Then came the morning.......
Oh dear. I thought I had already got the tummy bug my daughter brought home at the beginning of the week but no. James had started vomitting etc Friday and guess what?? you got it!! Me too. I missed all that lovely sunshine, had to miss my ride and even now on Tuesday I am not feeling much better. I have go on holiday on Saturday and I haven't even started to pack for it yet!! I hope it works through soon because I am not throughly fed up of feeling so crap all the time.
Poor Jamesy seems to of taken a step back too. He seemed much better yesterday but was sick again this morning. Poor little mite. July 23 my awful dayWell, i certainly didn't expect the events of today when I got up this morning.
Woke up. Fine, not problems. Got dressed, found out my eldest had been chucking up since 4am (great) got her works number from her and set off to work myself. Dropped James off at mums and got to work surprisingly early. (so far so good)
Started work, took a few calls, did a few email questions, rang work for kaylea to say she wouldnt be in and went to a meeting I had scheduled. Was sat in the meeting waiting for our CA Manager to join us as she had to deal with a particularly nasty individual and after about 20 mins I started to experience some serious back pain. It started at the base of my back and worked its way up to my rib cage and sort of spread all around my sides and centered in the middle of my body. It got worse and worse and I just couldn't ignore it anymore. I eventually went home... God knows how I made it back. Luckily Barry was up so he called mum for me and I went to bed. I could not sit, or stand. I could not stand anything to touch my back and I couldn't breath. All I could do is lay in the recovery possition and sleep.
I woke at 3ish and the pain was still there, got up for a bit and went back to bed. I dozed for a bit longer and woke 4ish. Thankfully the pain had started to go off by now.
All the way through the evening it has slowly got less and less intense and now I feel almost normal.
I have got a very high pain threshold so to a normal person I have no idea what that would of felt like to them but I can tell you that it was very, very painful. I never want to experience that ever again.
I have since found out that Kaylea has now got extreme back pain too so it must be this bug she has got but I didn't experience the vomitting.
So tonight to chill I have been shopping on ebay. oops. got two cool retro tshirts and a black bomber jacket. Can't wait for them to arrive. yipppeeeeeee. July 22 Warning!!July 17 after thoughtYesterday I wrote a blog on what is going to happen with the careline in the next 6 months.
I am no way any happier than I was yesterday but, after talking to some of my close friends I am actually looking forward to the events of the change over in the next few months before I bugger off and find something else.
I think it will be quite humourous to watch the competitive members of the team stab each other in the back to try and claim on of the managerial positions now up for grabs. Already the circus has begun and one of the most childish, attention seeking back stabbers have already started to try and get in with the remaining manager, Another has been talking extra loud and being super animated in their gestures trying to gain presence today also. Its so amusing to watch. Makes me realise just how shallow some people can be when they are out for themselves.
